Sun Runner plushie

mohawkponyI just realized I never gave this guy his own entry. He was completed on March 21, 2012.
His looks a little duller in some of these photos, but the picture above is actually closest to real life. Bright! Sunshiny! Saturated!
• Minky!
• G4 body; head generationally nonspecific
• Masculine-ish pattern, including deeper chest, wider stance, and of course a completely new head shape
• Fabric mane and tail
• Appliquéd horseshoe cutie marks with satin-stitched "sunbeams"
• Hand-painted eyes (acrylics on cotton) sewn into the face, not just appliquéd
• Satin-stitched eyelashes
• Hand-sewn fetlock feathers
• More loosely stuffed than usual: more huggable
• Lots of machine sewing (all others previous were completely hand-sewn
He's fun to photograph.
These photos were all taken right after he was finished. He's a bit more beat-up now and having more trouble standing. I stuffed him way too loosely, and all the snuggling he gets has tamped down what little stuffing there was to begin with, especially where his legs meet his torso. At some point I might reopen him to add some more stuffing...
Here he is last week, keeping company with the newborn Discord plush and showing off the wrinkles at the tops of his legs:
